Charles Clinton Hunt Jr., age 60, of Glade Springs, Daniels, WV passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022 at his home.
Born on August 22, 1962 in Kokomo, Indiana, he was the son of the late Charles Clinton Hunt Sr. and Phyllis Purkhiser Hunt.
Chuck, as he was known by family and friends was reared in the Oceana area and had made his home in Glade Springs for the past eleven years. He was a graduate of Oceana High School and Concord College.
Chuck had worked in the family businesses of Hunt’s Pharmacy and co-owned Summit Drug in Oceana. The last 17 years of his work history was in the Home Health/Hospice industry. He served as Financial Director for Integricare of West Virginia (Extend-A-Care/ServCare Home Health), Area Vice President of Operations for Amedisys Home Health, and Director of Reimbursement for Frontier Home Health and Hospice. Â
Chuck was of the Christian faith and enjoyed reading, watching football/basketball, golf, listening to music from the 70s, particularly Bob Seger, and spending time with family, especially at Smith Mountain Lake.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Gerri Lusk.
Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his wife of 11 years and best friend, Debra Short Hunt; a son Charles Clinton Hunt III and fiancé Dr. Michaela Tiller of Lewisburg, PA; a stepdaughter Melanie Arrigoni Trent of Slaty Fork, WV; a grandson Deven Arrigoni and girlfriend Alex Stevens of Daniels; a sister Cindy Stewart and husband Buren of Matheny; a niece Sammi Lusk of Bolt; a nephew David Lusk of Texas; a great nephew Brody Lynn of Bolt; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Vernon and Fayetta Short of Lynco; sister-in-law Lisa Robinson and husband Steve of Roanoke, VA; a nephew Dr. Kyle Caron of Kingsport, TN; a nephew Joshua Caron and wife Amanda of Greenville, SC; aunt Dee Dee (Rita Jenkins) of Clear Fork who loved him very much, and special family friend Jordy Townley who was like a grandson. Chuck also leaves behind his special pet Chloe, his beloved basset hound.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 1 PM. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the funeral home.
