CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Former Delegate Chris Pritt is running for the West Virginia State Senate in District 17. Chris served two terms in the West Virginia House of Delegates. As a delegate, Chris was a consistent vote and voice for conservative, West Virginia First legislation. Chris was also at the forefront of advocating for and advancing legislation to create jobs and remove barriers that inhibit economic growth.
“I’m pleased to announce that I’m running for the West Virginia State Senate. As a member of the State Senate, I’ll stand for conservative, West Virginia values. Too often, conservative legislation is watered down or blocked. We need more legislators who will actually represent the people and pass legislation that reflects our values.
In the West Virginia Senate, I’ll stand with Senate President Randy Smith and his leadership team. President Smith has demonstrated in just his first session as the Senate leader his commitment conservative, West Virginia values.
Free market policies work. Conservatism works. West Virginia does not have to be at or near the bottom of relevant economic indicators. I’ll work to pass legislation to lower costs, create more jobs, and improve wages for all West Virginians. The only barrier is the special interests who are working to block laws and policies that will move West Virginia forward.”
Chris resides in Charleston with his wife, Kelly, and two boys, Jackson and Owen. The 17th District is the only Senate district entirely within Kanawha County.
