LEWISBURG, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The City of Lewisburg issued a citywide Boil Water Advisory on Wednesday night.
The advisory applies to all using the city water system with the exception of Renick residents, and was issued due to high levels of turbidity in the water, or the quality of the water being cloudy or opaque.
No guidance has been given at this time on how long the advisory is expected to continue, but it was announced that the city would notify customers once the advisory is lifted. Until this time, it is suggested that all who use the city water system boil their water prior to consumption.
“Thank you for your patience and understanding on this matter,” read a statement included with the initial Boil Water Advisory announcement.
Those with questions or concerns are encouraged to contact Lewisburg City Hall at (304) 645-2080.
