WASHINGTON, D.C. (LOOTPRESS) – Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) joined Fox News’ Fox and Friends First this morning with the American mom she worked to bring home from Kabul, Afghanistan.
The woman, who is using the alias Fatima, is an American-Afghan interpreter who was separated from her husband and children at the time of the Taliban’s takeover of Kabul on August 15, 2021. After multiple unsuccessful attempts to get into the Hamid Karzai International Airport to leave Afghanistan, Fatima contacted Congresswoman Miller’s office for help. Fortunately, she has successfully made it to Germany.

Congresswoman Miller told Fox News, “We won’t stop working. We have to remember that America does not take orders from the Taliban. We are the ones who set the time table and work to get our people out of Afghanistan. I know the veterans and I know the active service members around the world are just watching with bated breath. They are working extremely hard behind the scenes to make this happen, to make sure that we can get all of our people out of there. It is so important. We won’t stop working.”
Fatima told Fox News, “It’s very hard that not just my family, my fellow citizens are left behind. People that helped our troops that are left behind in Afghanistan right now. And especially with the attack yesterday, my heart really goes out to those people. I would like to thank Carol Miller, I believe she’s here today and I think I’m going to be hearing her voice. I’m very much thankful to her for everything she did in the process to help me and, I’m sure, a lot more like me get out of the country.”
