ANDERSON COUNTY, SC (LOOTPRESS) – A South Carolina couple died while trying to stay warm inside their Anderson County mobile home, according to the coroner’s office.
The Anderson County Coroner’s Office said it was called around 7 p.m. Sunday to a residence on Joe Black Road, where a man and woman were found dead.
Investigators determined the couple had been living in the mobile home without electricity. In an attempt to heat the space, they were running a generator inside a bedroom to power a heater, the coroner’s office said.
Officials reported that both victims died from carbon monoxide poisoning, and the deaths have been ruled accidental.
Their names have not yet been released pending notification of family members.
