(LOOTPRESS) – Country music icon Dolly Parton looks to establish herself as a legitimate rock & roller with her upcoming album Rockstar, which features a star-studded list of collaborators including Stevie Nicks, Miley Cyrus, Chris Stapleton, and many more.
The album was announced following Parton’s induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in late 2022 and will present a whopping 30 tracks for listeners to enjoy. 21 of the tracks included will be established rock anthems such as Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Free Bird,” Prince’s “Purple Rain,” Queen’s “We Are the Champions,” and many others.
Nine of the album’s cuts, including the title track “Rockstar” featuring Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora and “I Want You Back” featuring Aerosmith vocalist Steven Tyler and Allman Brothers guitarist Warren Haynes, will be original numbers.
“I’m a rockstar now!,” said Parton on Wednesday in a social media release. “My new album Rockstar is coming November 17 and it’s available for pre-order. Let’s rock n’ roll.”
The singer/songwriter would also take to social media on Thursday morning, announcing a brand new single from the album, “World On Fire.”
