Donald B. Nelson, 73, of Princeton, went home to meet his Lord and Savior, Saturday evening, November 27, 2021, Wake Forest Medical Center in Winston-Salem NC. Born January 12, 1948, in Bluefield, he was the son of the late Earl Nelson and Thelma Sarver Nelson. Don was a master electrician and had retired from Smith-Timken as a supervisor in the Coil Department. He was a member of Johnston Chapel Baptist Church and a member of the DMA. Don was an avid muzzle loader as well as building the muzzle loader. He liked bluegrass music and had also composed and written music. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings. Survivors include his loving and devoted wife Vivene Carroll Scott Nelson; Two loving children, John Nelson (Lee) and Terri Hendrick; Loving grandson, Larry Emerson Shires; Two loving great-grandchildren, Lucas Emerson and Hayden Grace; Loving sister, Elsie Spencer. Cryptside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 2, 2021, at the Chapel of Wildwood Mausoleum, Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with Pastors John Elledge, Jim Simmons and Dan Thyng officiating. Those wishing to attend the services are requested to meet at the funeral home by 10:45 A.M.
