OAK HILL, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The winners of this season’s Christmas decorating contest have been announced by Destination: Downtown Oak Hill.
The contest featured categories for both businesses and residents, and featured winners chosen both by appointed contest judges and by the residents themselves through the “people’s choice” category.
Entry for the contest was opened in late November, with hopeful participants encouraged to enter by completing an online form or by completing physical copies which could be picked up at Oak Hill City Hall or the Oyler Avenue Mew River Gorge CVB.
Final entries were accepted early into the second week of December ahead of the December 10, 2022 contest entry deadline.
Voting for the “people’s choice” category closed on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 11:00 pm, while contest judges turned in their contest packets on the same day.

Additionally, the addresses of contest participants were shared and residents were encouraged to take in the exceptional decorations at each locations.
