ALLEGHANY COUNTY, VA (LOOTPRESS) – Virginia State Police is investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred Tuesday morning, Jan. 13, in Alleghany County.
According to state police, the crash was reported at approximately 11:16 a.m. on eastbound Interstate 64 near the 1.1-mile marker.

Authorities said a 2017 Subaru Crosstrek was traveling east when the vehicle lost control, crossed the median, traveled through the westbound lanes, and struck a guardrail.
The driver was identified as Billy Jack Camden, 91, of Covington. Police said Camden was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. He was transported to LewisGale Alleghany Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by Virginia State Police.
