ELKINS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Mayor of Elkins has proclaimed that during the month of December, downtown Elkins will be the site for “A Merry Mountain Christmas in Elfkins” this holiday season.
“There is something magical about living in a small town like Elkins,” states the proclamation. “Our goal is to get as many people involved to bring our community together for a time celebrating a very special season.”
The month of December kicks off with a Christmas Parade on Davis Ave starting at 6 p.m., followed by the Christmas Tree Lighting at the Elkins Depot Welcome Center with a special visit from Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus.

Phillips Kolsun, Lisa Wood, Liz Roberts, Missy McCollam (Elf Snowstorm), Paula Marco, Mayor Jerry Marco, Jacob Currence (Elf Jingles), Anne Beardslee, Lissa Eason, and Burley Woods.
Elves Holly and Noel also made a stop by City Hall to help celebrate Elfkins!
