FAYETTEVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man is in jail after causing over 10,000 dollars in damaged property and stolen tools.
On Monday, June 7, 2021, police responded to a call on Goose Creek Road about his exhaust pipe lying under his 2008 Dodge Dakota. When police arrived, the victim discovered that someone had cut off the catalytic converters. The victim was able to review his security camera and observed a red Chevrolet truck occupied by Jesse Legg, an unknown male, an unknown female enter his property and park outside the camera view, at which time you can hear a saw operating, and Jesse Legg stating, “you need to hurry up”.
The victim told police that Legg has not resided with him for about two weeks and started calling him inquiring what time he would be home from church. Upon further investigating, several Snap-On tools and other items were missing. The officer obtained a quote to replace catalytic converters, tools, and damage to the Dodge Dakota, and it all totaled over 10,000 dollars.
Legg is charged with entry without breaking, destruction of property, grand larceny, and conspiracy. He is currently in Southern Regional Jail under a 20,000 dollar bond.
