WEST VIRGINIA (LOOTPRESS) – Ida will bring heavy rain, likely causing flash flooding to parts of West Virginia.
As the remnants of Ida continue to move northward, it’s forecasted to bring heavy rain to our area. The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for almost all West Virginia’s 55 counties. In preparation, Gov Justice issued a State of Preparedness.
Due to the recent rainfall, it will not take much rain to cause flooding. Rain will start Tuesday afternoon and continue most of the day on Wednesday.
You are encouraged to have a plan of action in place in case flooding occurs. Remember to never drive through flooded roads.
