Frank A. Lacek, 93, of Raleigh, WV died peacefully at his
home surrounded by family.
Frank was born, raised, and lived his entire life in
Raleigh, seventy years of which were spent with his surviving wife Ruth. Frank
was the last surviving child of Paul and Agnes Lacek.
He is preceded in death by four brothers, three sisters, and a son, William David.
Frank is survived by his wife Ruth Nicklas Lacek; six children: Patricia Ann Cantley of Beckley,
Frankie Paul and his wife Ronda of Beaver, Jane Lacek McQuillen and husband
James of Gainesville, GA, Linda Lacek Honosky of Beaver, James Robert and his
wife Karen of New Market VA, and Steven and his wife Jo Lynn of Beckley.
Together they have given Frank and Ruth 13 grandchildren and 14
great-grandchildren. Other survivors include his brother-in-law Robert Nicklas
and his wife Jan as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Frank was a proud veteran and coal miner. He was a
lifelong member of Saint Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Beckley. Frank made countless friends, particularly his neighbors
and those who knew him from his more than 50 years as a member of the UMWA –
District 19.
The family wishes to show its appreciation for the excellent care
that Frank received by asking that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to

A Christian Burial Service will be held at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace
Chapel in Beckley on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at noon with Rev. Mr. Harry Evans
officiating. A Rite of Committal will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum
in Beckley. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services at
the funeral home on Wednesday. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
