HUNTINGTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A groundbreaking ceremony for the Bob Bailey Senior Wellness Center is set to be held in Huntington on Wednesday.
As announced by the City of Huntington on Tuesday, the City, along with the Cabell County Community Services Organization (CCCSO, will be co-hosting a groundbreaking ceremony at 1:30pm on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 in the parking lot behind the Central City Gazebo on 14th Street West for the Bob Bailey Senior Wellness Center.
The Gazebo is located across the street from The Wild Ramp, 555 14th St. W.
Last month the City of Huntington presented a $1.5 million check from its American Rescue Plan Act proceeds to CCCSO for the construction of the Bob Bailey Senior Wellness Center behind the Central City Gazebo.
It is reported that the expected completion time for the facility is expected to be late in the year in 2023.
According to the announcement from the City of Huntington, the wellness center will incorporate three central components to improve wellness for seniors, those being exercise programs, socialization programs, and health, safety, and prevention initiatives.
