MERCER COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS)– Yesterday, on August 3, the Mercer County Health Department confirmed a case of the Covid Delta variant in the area. An official says it might be the first of many.
It takes about four to six weeks for the Delta variant to come back. An administration with Mercer County Health Department says that some people may have it and might not realize it.
“We confirmed the first case for the area, but I believe there will be more cases on the way,” said the administrator.
Right now, they recommend that residents wear masks around large gatherings and indoors. They also stress the importance of getting the vaccine.
