Helen Las Myers, 87, of Park Avenue, Princeton, WV passed away peacefully, Sunday, April 18, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Carbondale, PA on June 4, 1933 to Frank and Aniela Las, Helen was a 1951 graduate of Gary High School. She was an active member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Gary, WV and after moving to Princeton faithfully attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Princeton. Helen was devoted to her family, starting by raising her brother-in-law Ralph Myers, and nine children of her own. Helen was a faithful servant of the Lord and it was demonstrated by the love and compassion she showed to everyone who knew her. Helen loved going to the Senior Center and line dancing with the Swinging Seniors and visiting local nursing homes with this group. Helen always had beautiful flower gardens and a love for rose bushes that she tended to. She was preceded in death by her parents; the love of her life, David Myers; and siblings, Frank Las, Anna Sanner, Lilly Adamczyk, Brother Thaddeus Las and Stanley Las. Those left to cherish her memory are her nine children and their spouses; Tim and Kerry Myers, Beckley, WV; Andy and Donna Myers, Palatka, FL; Paul and Tressa Myers, Keystone Heights, FL; Diana and Rich Crigger, Fernandina Beach, FL; Frank and Kim Myers, Murfreesboro, TN; Cathy and Jimmy Hillyer, Princeton, WV; Chris Myers, Jacksonville, FL; Mike and Faith Myers, Gainesville, FL; John and Joy Myers, Shady Spring, WV. Helen was also the loving grandmother of eleven grandchildren and their spouses; Patrick and Kelli Myers; Lori and Scott Cuthbert; Josh Myers; Julie and Christopher Haun; Courtney and Ryan Adams; Logan Myers; MacKenzie Myers; Tyler Hillyer; Matthew Hillyer; Scott Myers and Emily Myers. Helen was also survived by six great grandchildren; Timothy and Perry Myers; Micah and Laila Cuthbert; Annelia and Gabrielle Haun; Sister-in-laws Phyllis Rutherford, Jan Myers, and Marcy Myers; Brother-in-law Ralph Myers; Several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Princeton with Father Sebastian Devasya and Deacon Don Hammond as celebrant. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 A.M. until time of service. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, P O Box 1310, Princeton, WV 24740. Due to the Governor’s mandate, masks and social distancing, will be observed.
