Howard B. Crockett, 93, of Princeton died peacefully early Thursday morning, September 30, 2021, at Ridge Care Assisted Living. Born July 17, 1928, in Princeton, he was the son of the late Thomas Edward Crockett and Allie Bratton Crockett. Howard was educated in Mercer County and a retired heavy equipment operator, having worked for Anderson & Anderson, Vecellio & Grogan Inc., Peabody Coal. While his health permitted, he was an active member of the East Main Church of Christ in Princeton. Howard enjoyed collecting coins, welding, being a handyman and going to flea markets. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Randy, Willard and William Crockett. Those left to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted wife of 69 years, Hallie Cox Crockett. Loving daughter, Linda Sue Hall and husband Chuck. Two loving grandchildren and their spouses, Hillary Celeste and Dr. Chad Williams, Dr. Jonathan Russell and Dr. Bethany Hall. Three loving great-grandchildren, Logan Michael Williams, Juliet Rose Hall and Victoria Grace Hall. Several loving nieces and nephews also survive. A service to celebrate the life of Howard Crockett will be held at1:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 5, 2021, from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Minister Gary Durham officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Friends may visit with the family Tuesday from Noon until the service hour at the funeral home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Those who are unable to attend the funeral can view his service thru webcasting on our website.
