HUNTINGTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The official launch of the Huntington Area Hot Dog Trail has been announced, providing the opportunity for participants to get their hands on some delicious meals and exciting prizes.
Featuring nine local hot dog stands, the trail could lead to the procurement of a novelty hot dog pin for those determined enough to dine at five of the stands. Those who take on the challenge of dining at all nine of the trail’s stands will be crowned a “wiener” and will receive a hot dog t-shirt.
Whether it be an entree or side dish, all purchases made at the trail’s stands will count toward completion of the trail.
“Whether you swear by sauce and slaw or prefer it plain, this trail will take you on a delicious journey of the American classic,” says the Huntington Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Those interested in taking on the Huntington Area Hot Dog Trail may sign up and obtain more information here. Digital vouchers for each hot dog stand will be issued and validated by the respective stands along the way as the trail is completed.
Participating hot dog stands will include Hillbilly Hot Dogs, Midway West Drive-In, Stewart’s Original Hot Dogs, Shaffers Drive-In, Dog Haus Biergarten, Frostop Drive-In, Farley’s Famous Hot Dogs, Sam’s Hot Dog Stand, and Hazlett’s Triple H Drive-In.
Participants are encouraged to share their experiences on social media using the hashtag #HuntingtonHotDogTrail. With each post on Facebook and Instagram, participants will receive an additional entry into a monthly drawing.
