J.C. McArthur Chandler, 79, of Pleasant Hill Estate, Princeton, died peacefully, Monday, July 5, 2021. Born, June 16, 1942, in Bluefield, he was the son of the late Claude Chandler and Bertha Martin Chandler. J.C. was a loving husband, son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He worked for Coppinger Machinery as a truck driver and in the stock room for Baker Machinery which later became EIMCO. J.C. was of the Protestant faith. J.C. loved his family, camping, fishing, being outdoors, but especially, woodworking. In addition to his family, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 44 years, Faye Chandler, two siblings, Glenn Chandler and Libby Ealy. Those left to cherish his memory, three children, Jeffrey Glenn Chandler and wife Heather, Jason Scott Chandler and wife Jessica, David Thomas Chandler and wife April; Four grandchildren, Ryan Chandler, Olivia Chandler, Kristin Osborne and husband Jason, Zachary Chandler; Two great-grandchildren; One sister, Ruth Carmen and husband Dave. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, July 9, 2021, from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road with Pastor mark Dye officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 Noon until the service hour at the funeral home.
