James “Jim” Allen Bennett 75 of Frank, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2023.
Jim was born June 23, 1948 in Elkins to the late Frank Allen and Mable Hedrick Bennett.
Jim was a retired maintenance worker for the Durbin Greenbrier Valley Railroad, a hard worker and a wonderful provider for his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather. He never met a stranger. He was always there for others when needed. He was loved by all who knew him.
Other than his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Carr.
Surviving include his wife Valinda Lea Davis Bennett; daughter, Amanda Carr and husband Shawn of Bartow; son, James Brian Bennett and wife Kristin of Bartow; grandchildren, Joshua Carr, Aliza Vance and husband Dakota, Aleea Carr, Eli Bennett, Caroline Bennett and Kaylea Bennett; sisters, Sheila Rexrode of Durbin, Donna Nicely and husband Don of Boyer and Kim Rugemer and husband Kevin of Elkins; brother, Frank Bennett and wife Terry of Huttonsville.
Services for his ashes will be held at a later date.
