Jimmie Lee Ward age 48, of Second Creek, WV, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at his residence following a long illness. Born December 12, 1972 in Ashtabula, OH to his parents James and Irene Moore Ward. Jimmie Lee and his father James had a special bond, and his mother loved him dearly. Jimmie Lee loved to hunt, and fix power saws, which he had a great talent for fixing until his health no longer allowed him to do so. He was a farmer and had owned his own dairy farm as well.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul and Reva Ward of Second Creek, and Harrison and Myrtle Moore of Kentucky. In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, Larry Kazee of Union, WV; two sister, Judy Urban and her husband of Ohio, and Sally Brown of Ohio; special friends, Bobby Mentz and Joe Reed; and many uncles, aunts, and cousins, which are numerous also survive him.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV with Pastor David Deskins officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Park Cemetery at Highland Paker, WV. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 12, 2021 from 12:00 Noon until the time of the service at the funeral home. Larry Kazee, Brian Ward, Joe Reed, Donnie Ward, Bobby Mentz, and Frankie Vance will serve as Pallbearers.
