One of the core pillars of Arclin’s community giving platform is Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education. The company recognizes the vital role STEM education plays in shaping the future workforce. In 2023 alone, Arclin Amines actively participated in organizing over 15 STEM demonstrations and learning events in collaboration with schools and communities in Kanawha and Putnam counties.
“Our success as a company in prioritizing our community is because our employees believe in giving back and supporting these organizations by volunteering their time,” said Alicha Hunt, Arclin Amines Plant Manager. “In 2023, we saw around 15% of our employee base volunteering at different events each quarter. It’s important we are not only supporting these organizations monetarily, but we are in the community building relationships to be resources for our library, our schools, homeschool students and the community for science-based learning.”
In addition to supporting education, Arclin Amines acknowledges the critical role played by volunteer fire departments in ensuring the safety and well-being of the community. This donation reflects Arclin Amines’ appreciation for the selfless service provided by these local heroes, contributing to the enhancement of emergency response capabilities in the region.
“Supporting Eastern Kanawha County with these donations exemplifies our unwavering dedication to fostering education, innovation, and community resilience in our community,” said Bolduc. “As we continue to evolve, so does our commitment to being a responsible corporate citizen. This contribution to the schools and Volunteer Fire Departments is not just a one-time gesture; it’s a testament to our enduring pledge to positively impact the communities we serve. Our gratitude goes to the Eastern Kanawha County Schools and Volunteer Fire Departments for their tireless dedication to this community.
