WESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Stonewall Resort is hosting a series of holiday-themed, socially distanced weekend events now through Christmas that will appeal to everyone – from children and families to those interested in spending the season with that special someone.
“We call these event and activity filled weekends “Lakeside Holiday Traditions” and we encourage people to celebrate this special time of the year with family or loved-ones in the safe, cozy, amenity-filled confines of Stonewall Resort,” said André D’Amour, general manager of Stonewall Resort.
D’Amour said activities will occur each weekend from November 27th leading up to Christmas. The following activities will occur on the weekends of November 27th and December 4th, 11th and 18th.
- Breakfast with Santa in Stillwaters Restaurant on Saturday mornings from 8am-10am;
- Culinary demonstrations, like how to make apple bread pudding with caramel butter rum sauce, on Saturdays;
- Variety of recreation opportunities, to include special movie showings;
- Complimentary cookies, hot cocoa, and warm cider in the lodge lobby each Friday and Saturday (6pm-7pm);
- And, brunch with Santa each Sunday from 11am-1pm.
Additionally, the resort will host several special events and activities throughout the month.
On Sunday, November 29th, the Mtn. Laurel Spa will host its annual holiday open house. Taking place from 11am-2pm, guests will enjoy complimentary chair massages and paraffin hand treatments. Special services and products will be given away throughout the event, and guests can receive significant discounts on future spa services by booking that day.
The resort will host a special Gingerbread House Workshop experience on December 4th, 5th, 11th, 12th, 18th and 19th. From 6pm-9pm, children, accompanied by their parents, will design and create their own gingerbread house. This experience is available individually or packaged with an overnight stay in the lodge and breakfast with Santa the following morning.
For a truly cheerful evening, West Virginia’s premier comedy troupe, The Fearless Fools, will perform a live comedy show on Saturday, December 12th. The performance will feature improv comedy akin to the “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” TV show. This experience is available individually or packaged with an overnight stay in the lodge. Capacity is limited and guests are encouraged to book their ticket by calling the resort at (304) 269-7400.
The resort will also host special Christmas Eve and Christmas Day dinners in Stillwaters Restaurant. On Christmas Eve, guests may enjoy a four-course action station menu from 3pm-7pm and on Christmas Day, a five-course action station feast will be offered from 11am-4pm. An a la carte menu will be available as well during both meals. Reservations are required and can be made by calling (304) 269-7400.
And, for an additional dose of cheer, TJ Muskies Bar & Grill has been transformed into a jolly and festive holiday “pop-up” bar. Guests will enjoy themed lights, music, decorations, and specialty drinks seven days a week through Christmas.
