BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Leaf Pick-up for the City of Beckley is set to begin on Monday, November 14.
“Improper disposal of autumn leaves can cause some major headaches on the road, and I your waterways,” read a release from the Beckley Sanitary Board.
”A pile of leaves can clog a storm drain, causing residential flooding. Excessive leaf litter in stormwater also contributes to stormwater pollution.”

Leaves should be placed in bags or similar containers, and all items should be left curbside before 7:00am.
Yard trimmings and branches (no larger than 2 inches in diameter) may also be picked up, and should be placed within 5 feet of the curb on pick-up day.
