UPDATE: VAGO, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Friday afternoon leak affecting some Greenbrier County residents has reportedly been resolved.
A Friday evening announcement from The City of Lewisburg indicates the restoration of the utility following repairs from city workers, which got underway upon the location of the leak in the afternoon.
”Water in the Vago Road area has been restored,” read the update. “Thank you for your patience and understanding.”
The issue was first revealed on Friday morning, with crews working through the afternoon to restore the utility.

VAGO, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The City of Lewisburg has reported a water leak in the Vago area on Friday which has resulted in an outage for some residents.
First detected Friday morning, the City of Lewisburg announced that city crews were working to locate the leak, and that any instances of water bubbling out of the ground should be reported to 911.
Shortly after, it was reported that the location of the leak had been discovered, and that city crews were actively working to repair the leak.
No estimated time for completion of repairs and subsequent restoration of water service in affected areas has been provided at this time.
”We will continue to update as soon as we have a time that [service] will be restored,” read a statement from the City of Lewisburg.
”Thank you for your patience and understanding on this matter.”
