CLARKSBURG, WV (LOOTPRESS) – It has been announced that iconic guitarist Steve Vai will be bringing the next leg of his Inviolate Tour to West Virginia this summer.
Vai – known for his solo compositions as well as collaborative work with legendary figures such as Frank Zappa, David Lee Roth, and many more – will be making his way to Clarksburg’s Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center this July on the back of his latest solo album, 2022’s Inviolate.
The album features a one-of-kind custom guitar known as the Hydra. The instrument features a single body, two headstocks, three necks comprising 7 and 12-string guitars, harp strings, floating and hardtail tremolo bridges; phase splitters, a standard four-string bass guitar, and plenty more.
The bombastic creation is featured in the album’s opening track, “Teeth of the Hydra,” and with any luck, fans in the Mountain State will get to witness the instrument firsthand when Vai defies musical boundaries in Clarksburg.
Doors for the show are set to open at 7:00pm with the show itself getting underway at 8:00pm. The event is scheduled to take place on Friday, July 28, 2023.
Those interested in purchasing tickets may do so at the Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center website. More information is available at the event page.
