Linda Carol Ward, age 73, of Crab Orchard, WV passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at Charleston Area Medical Center Memorial Division.
Born on October 30, 1949 in Huntington, she was the daughter of the late James Bernard Torrence and Mamie Hite Torrence.
Linda, as she was known by family and friends was a former factory worker, and last worked as a caregiver for Mountain State Home Health since 2014. She was of the Baptist faith, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother James David Torrence and her former husband Jackie Dean Ward.
Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her loving son, Ronald Ward and wife Melissa of Crab Orchard; grandchildren, Tiffany Miller of Bradley, Amanda Ward and husband B.J. of MacArthur, and Colton Ward and wife Brandee of Midway; great grandchildren, Caiden, Emberly, Travis , Joshua, Haley and Kimmie; Siblings, Jimmy Torrence, Johnny Torrence, Julia Torrence, Tony Torrence, and Timmy Torrence.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 3 PM with Rev. Eric Milam officiating. Burial will follow at the Canaday Cemetery at Glen View, WV. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
