Lindsay Gray Hoke, 77, of Alleghany (Covington), VA. passed away on February 8, 2024 at Chippenaham Hospital in Richmond, VA following an extended illness.
He was born November 29, 1946 in Hollywood (Monroe County), WV and was the son of the late Henry Clay and Una Feury Hoke.
Lindsay was hardworking logger and dozer operator. He was an avid hunter and houndsman.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Samantha Lynn Hoke; sister and brother in law Violet Feury and Myles; brothers, Billy Gene Hoke, Emory Hoke (and his wife Nancy) and infant brother Kester Clay Hoke.
Those left to cherish Lindsay’s memory are his wife Margaret Faulkner; daughters Angela Dawn Hoke of Covington, VA. and Natasha Faulkner of Clifton Forge, VA.; sons, Christopher Glen Hoke, Keith Logan Boone and Dalton Lane Hall all of Covington, VA.; and grandchildren Austin Hoke and Mason Tucker; sisters, Wanda Ferguson (Walter) Glace, WV. and Martha Galford (James) of Gap Mills, WV.; brother Henry U. Hoke (Lena) of White Sulphur Springs; sister in law Helen Hoke of White Sulphur Springs; along with a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Lindsay will be held on Tuesday February 13, 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Forest Run Community Holiness Church, Hollywood, WV with Pastor Ralph Hubbard officiating. Interment will follow at the Henry Clay Hoke Family Cemetery, Hollywood, WV
The family will receive family and friends from 11:00 AM until time of services at the church.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home to help with the funeral expenses.
Pallbearers will be Bill Hoke, Dalton Hoke, Logan Boone, Daniel Hoke, Emory Hoke and Blaine Cosgro with honorary pallbearers Blake Vass, Kalem Mahon and Landon Hoke-Lockhart..
