Mary’s early years were spent living in different mining communities in Logan and Mingo Counties. She attended Logan High School and this is where she met the one love of her life, Edgar. They married May 25, 1952, at the time of her high school graduation ceremonies. Mary and Edgar made Pineville their home in 1955, and raised their family here.
Mary’s interests included sewing, painting, and anything else she could apply her outstanding creativity and talent to. She loved to travel and she never met a stranger. Mary was quite the conversationalist and loved to write to preserve her thoughts, experiences and memories.
Mary loved life. And she loved Edgar more than life itself.
The family would like to thank the staff at Wyoming Nursing and Rehabilitation for the care Mary received during her extended stay.
In keeping with Mary’s wishes, she will be cremated, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
