Mary “Susan” Caserta, 61, of Hernshaw, formerly of Man, departed this life on Monday, August 2, 2021, at Hospice Care in Charleston, after a sudden illness. She was born on October 14, 1959, in Huntington, the daughter of the late Walter and Gloria Dean (Donahue) Perry. Susan was a 1977 graduate of Man High School. She went on to obtain her CNA license and worked as a care giver for the elderly. Susan enjoyed yard selling, collecting Blenko glass, gardening, and spending time with her fur babies, Lexie, Tilly, and Annie. Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Leigh Ann Carter and her husband, Hershel Carter, Jr. of Man and Jill Caserta and her partner Billy Hamilton of St. Albans; one grandson, Hershel Carter III of Man; one sister, Lynn Linville and her husband Jerry of Amherstdale; one brother, Jon Perry and his wife Alice of Man; nieces and nephews, Misty Collins, Kristy Curry, Mitch Linville, and Jon Michael Perry along with a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 1 p.m. Friday, August 6, 2021, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Robert Maxwell officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
