MEADOW BRIDGE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Officials with the Fayette County Public Library have announced that their Meadow Bridge location will be permanently closing in the coming months.
Officials announced that the Meadow Bridge Branch of the Fayette County Public Library will be closing Monday, May 1, 2023. FCPL officials say that this was a very hard decision and they have been working on it for a long time.
The last day that the library will be open to the public is Thursday, April 27, 2023, so all items should be returned by then. The Book drop will be checked though for returned items through the end of May and then removed.
Starting in May, the Bookmobile will be coming once a week to provide library services to the community. The Bookmobile will be located in the Meadow Bridge Missionary Baptist Church parking lot every Thursday during the summer from 10:00am-12:15pm.
Those who want to books delivered to their home are asked to please sign up for the Homebound Program. The Summer Reading Program will be conducted on the Bookmobile, Thursdays starting June 15-July 20 at 11:00am for ages 3-12.
The reason for the closure has not yet been released.
