BLUEFIELD, WV (LOOTPRESS)– Dassa Giles is running for the third district Board of Directors position for the City of Bluefield.
Early voting starts on May 19th and will end on May 29th. Other candidates in district 3 are: Kyle Croye, Greg Saunders and incumbent Daniel Wells.
Q: Where are you from?
A: “I am a native of McDowell County, (Gary) and a graduate of Gary High School. I hold a degree in Business Administration with a minor in accounting and finance from HBCU and United Methodist Church Affiliate, Wiley College located in Marshall, Texas.”
Q: Why do you want to be on the Board of Directors?
A: “I plan to leverage my business acumen with more than 37 years of leadership, community service, and advocacy, to work to make the residents of District 3 and the City of Bluefield, West Virginia, a place where new leadership and citizenry input will work together to bring about change for our city.”
Q: What would you bring to the Board of Directors?
A: “I am a leader with a servant heart. I am seeking the vote of District 3 residents. I believe that bringing new leadership along with the insight and input from the residents will make a ‘Better Bluefield’.”
Early voting begins on May 19th and ends on May 29th. Regular voting will take place on June 1st from 6:30 am until 7:30 pm at the Herb Sims Center.
