(LOOTPRESS) – Rapper Takeoff, one third of the highly successful hip-hop group Migos, was killed in a shooting Tuesday as confirmed through The Associated Press by a representative for the artist.
The incident reportedly occurred in the early hours of Tuesday morning outside a Houston bowling alley, 810 Billiards and Bowling.
Two others were reportedly injured and transported for medical care after police responded to the shooting at 2:30am.
Houston Police Lt. Ronnie Willkens stated that the victim appeared to have been shot in the head or neck.
The identities of the other injured parties have yet to be confirmed.
Takeoff, born Kirshnik Khari Ball, was one third of rap group Migos, who ascended to stardom in the late 2010s on the popularity of such hit tracks as “Bad and Boujee.”
He was 28 years old at the time of his passing.
