BLUEFIELD, WV (LOOTPRESS)– The Board of Director’s moved to approve a partnership between Mitchell Stadium and First Media on Tuesday, May 11th.
According to City Attorney and Interim City Manager Colin Cline, this deal happens every year and he hopes that more advertisers are seen at Mitchell Stadium.
First Media finds advertisers for Mitchell Stadium. You can find banners and prints throughout the walls, and scoreboard. They also make radio and media advertisements. The Director of Parks and Recreation Charles Ridlehuber says that the City of Bluefield makes a profit of the advertisements.
“The city makes about five to six thousand dollars,” said Ridlehuber. Advertisements weren’t sold last year due to Covid and the City of Bluefield also sells their own ads but they are mostly seen along the fence and walls.
If you have questions or would like to be an advertiser, contact the Parks and Recreation office at 304.327.2401.
