MORGANTOWN, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Morgantown Police Department announced on Monday that five new police officers have been sworn-in to serve the city.
According to the Morgantown PD, Officers Harding, Hull, Nickelson, Wolfe, and Forsythe all took their oath and made a promise to serve and protect the City of Morgantown.
The Morgantown Police Department is made up of 76 sworn police officers and 12 civilian support staff.
The MPD serves an area of approximately 11 square miles and a population of more than 30,000 residents. Morgantown is the third-largest city in the state of West Virginia and is home to West Virginia University which has an annual enrollment of approximately 30,000 students.
