Myra S. Blankenship, 88, of Cass went to be with the Lord on Wednesday September 6, 2023, at Peyton Hospice House.
Myra was born February 15, 1935, in Marlinton and was the daughter of the late Dency Eddie and Gosha Underwood Sharp. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Dice Sharp, and three sisters, Georgia Hutchings, Mary Tersigni, Violet Banton.
Myra was a Nurse Aide at Pocahontas Memorial Hospital and worked at Hanover Shoe Company until her retirement I 1990. She was of Baptist Faith. Myra looked forward to working in her vegetable garden each summer and loved to can all the foods that it produced.
Myra is survived by one son, Eddie Blankenship and wife Victoria of Cass, one brother Dency “Bus” Sharp of Canton, OH, one sister, Betty McPaters of Marlinton, along with several nieces and nephews.
Myra had a wonderful love for cats, especially for her Grandcat Panther James
A special “Thank You” to Leslie Wilfong and friend Kathy along with Sandy Hutchings who were there for her final hours.
In keeping Myra’s wishes, there will be no service and she will be cremated.
