CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A bill introduced this week in the West Virginia Legislature would enact a name change for the Raleigh County Recreation Authority.
First introduced on Tuesday and sponsored by Delegate Brooks (R-45), with support from Delegates Toney (R-31), Kirby (R-44) , Steele (R-42) , and Maynor (R-28), House Bill 5348, if passed, would entail a name change from “Raleigh County Recreation Authority” to “Raleigh County Parks and Recreation Authority.”
The legislation was referred to the House Government Organization Committee the day of its introduction in the House of Delegates and was recommended for passage on Thursday.
House Bill 5348 is scheduled for its first reading on the Special Calendar of the Legislature on Friday.
