CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One bill introduced early on in the ongoing sessions of the West Virginia Legislature would create license plates for autism awareness.
House Bill 4014, introduced in the House on January 10, 2024, would amend West Virginia code with regard to the authority of the Division of Motor Vehicles to issue a special registration plate for autism awareness.
The legislation is sponsored by Delegate Westfall (R-16) and, following its introduction last month, was referred to the House Committee on Technology and Infrastructure.
This legislation would entail description of plates, issuance of special numbers and plates, registration fees, special application fees, exemptions, suspension, nonrenewal, and more.
