BECKLEY, W.V. (LOOTPRESS) – On Monday, November 29, the U.S. Army Recruiting Office in Beckley will kick off its holiday food drive.
According to Staff Seargent Matthew Crofton, the drive- which aims to collect canned and non-perishable food items- will last until Christmas.
The office will be accepting donations at their location at 1244 Eisenhower Drive, and recruiters will be setting green donation boxes up at public high schools across the region.
“It’s been a hard couple of years,” Crofton said. “I think it’s really, really important for people to give back this holiday season.”
Items collected during the drive will be distributed to the area’s food banks, ensuring no one goes hungry this holiday season.
