FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Anthony Ciliberti, Jr., Prosecuting Attorney, announces that on April 20, 2021, Ronnie L. Owens, Jr., age 45 of Oak Hill, WV was sentenced by Judge Paul M. Blake Jr. to one to ten years in prison for the felony offense of destruction of property and one to ten years in prison for the felony offense of grand larceny.
Restitution was ordered to the victims in both matters.
On June 28, 2020, Owens destroyed a welder and multiple tools of a value of over two thousand five hundred dollars from DTE in Oak Hill, WV.
On July 18, 2020, Owens stole a 1985 GMC truck of a value of over one thousand dollars from Bulldog Transport, LLC in Oak Hill, WV. Owens was identified in both cases by video surveillance.
These crimes were investigated by the Oak Hill Police Department and the West Virginia State Police. The case was prosecuted by Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Sarah F. Smith.
