FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One juvenile has been confirmed dead following a crash in Fayette County.
According to Fayette County Sheriff Mike Fridley, one juvenile was killed in a vehicle accident after their vehicle struck a power pole in Fayette County.
Sheriff Fridley says that the accident occurred on WV RT 41 (Wilderness Highway) just before the US Rt 60 intersection.
A single vehicle, for an unknown reason, veered off the roadway, striking a power pole. The driver, a 16-year-old and sole occupant, unfortunately, succumbed to injuries sustained in the accident.
The driver’s identity is being withheld due to their age. Assisting in the matter was the Nuttall Fire Department, Ansted Fire Department, and General Ambulance.
The accident remains under investigation by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department.
