Patricia Lou “Patty” Dawson, 69, of Princeton died Wednesday, June 8, 2021, at Princeton Health Care Center. Born June 30, 1951, in Bluefield, she was the daughter of the late Frank McKinley Dillow and Carmella Kathrine Abbafello Dillow. Patty graduated from Bluefield High School. She was a former nurses aid for Bluefield Sanitarium and Glenwood Nursing Home. Patty was a devoted and faithful member of First Christian Church on Straley Avenue in Princeton where she took great pride working in the kitchen, overseeing fellowship and bereavement dinners. Patty enjoyed reading, cooking and most of all her two grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Rosemarie Taylor. Those left to cherish her memory, her devoted husband of 42 years, Randall Dawson; Her daughter, Christina Cartwright and husband Jamie; Two grandchildren, Mina Reed and Isabella Cartwright; Two special friends, Karen Pendleton and Johnny Mastandreas. Services to celebrate the life of Patty Dawson will be held at 6:00 P.M. Thursday, June 10, 2021, from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastors Steve Janning and Gary Lyons officiating. Entombment will follow Friday morning at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family Thursday from 5:00 P.M. until the service hour.
