PILOT MOUNTAIN, NC (LOOTPRESS) — The Pilot Mountain Police Department is currently in possession of some very valuable lost property — and they’d really love to return it to its rightful owner.
Officers say approximately 4 grams of methamphetamine were discovered in the women’s restroom at the Speedway convenience store. Yes, you read that correctly. Someone apparently walked in with meth… and walked out without it.
Police are now seeking the absent-minded individual who misplaced their illegal drugs and may be “frantically retracing their steps.”
“If you or someone you know has lost their property,” the department wrote in a statement, “please contact the Pilot Mountain Police Department to reclaim it.”
Authorities did not specify whether the owner will receive a claim ticket, a receipt, or simply a free ride in the back of a patrol car — but locals can probably guess.
The investigation is ongoing, and officers are standing by, waiting patiently for someone to call and say, “Hi, yes, I think you have my meth?”
