State legislatures across the nation have been dealing with employers mandating their employees to become vaccinated against Covid-19 or face termination. Recently, Montana passed legislation preventing employers from forcing Covid-19 vaccinations on their employees. At the same time, Illinois mandated Covid-19 vaccines for healthcare workers and teachers.

The West Virginia Legislature, which is not currently in session, has not advanced legislation on the topic. The legislature is not scheduled to be in regular session until January 2022. Many people are calling on area lawmakers to go into special session to enact legislation to prevent vaccine mandates by employers and other entities.
