PRINCETON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The City of Princeton’s Community Improvement Commission’s Second Annual “Make It Sparkle, Princeton!” contest is once again offering cash prizes to businesses within city limits that decorate their storefronts for the holidays.
Any business that has a brick & mortar location can enter the contest. Online registration for the contest will open Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at 12 P.M. (EST) and close on December 15, 2022, at 12 P.M. Winners will be announced on December 22 at 1 P.M., with prizes awarded to business owners (or an equivalent local representative) shortly thereafter. Winning contestants will be chosen by a judge independently selected by the Princeton Community Improvement Commission (CIC).
Cash prizes are as follows:
●First place: $250
●Second place: $175
●People’s Choice: $125
Last year’s 1st place winner was Bucha Brewhouse & Bistro, with a lighted snowflake and tree display in their front window, on the “Gifts Under the Tree” theme. This year, contestants will be free to decide their winter holiday theme, and judging will be based on execution, creativity, theme, and attractiveness. This year’s contest will also feature a fourth award category, “People’s Choice.” Those who would like to participate in voting for the People’s Choice award can do so by visiting the Facebook Event page and “liking” their favorite photo entries. The Facebook Event page can be accessed at https://www.facebook.com/events/3418529985097017. Voting for People’s Choice closes at 12 P.M. on December 22, 2022. Photo entries will be posted to the event page as businesses register for the contest.
