Wednesday, the Miners will team up with Delta Kappa Gamma-XI Chapter to host Hit a Home-Run with Reading Night at the stadium. All Raleigh County elementary (K-5) students will get a free ticket to the game, along with a free children’s book.
If a student doesn’t receive a ticket and attends a Raleigh County elementary school, they can pick up a ticket at the game.
There will be inflatables around the park and children will have a chance to meet the players prior to the game.
The first contest to be postponed this year was the home game against Johnstown last Thursday. That game will be played as a doubleheader July 3 in Beckley starting at 2:05 p.m.
Monday’s rain-out in Chillicothe has been rescheduled as a doubleheader starting at 5:35 p.m. on June 18 at VA Memorial Stadium.
