ANSTED, WV (LOOTPRESS) – According to a release from the town of Ansted, a Public Hearing has been scheduled to be held at the Anted Council Chambers (104 Cemetery St, Ansted, WV 25812) on Monday, December 5, 2022, at 6:00 PM.
The purpose of the hearing is for Appalachian Electric Power Company to present their proposed plans to construct a 69kv electric substation in Victor, WV on property fronting U.S. Rt. 60 and currently owned by Richard & Carol Patton. This parcel is located generally across U.S. Rt 60 from the Victor, WV Post Office and abuts the easterly side of Hundley Drive.
The town of Ansted says that residents and property owners are invited and encouraged to attend to ask questions and offer comments. There will be a site visit to the Patton Property, before the Hearing, at 4:00 PM. Anyone from the public interested in participating should meet at the site at this time.
Officials with the town of Ansted say that this is the only public meeting planned for this project, and if you cannot attend the meeting, you may also participate interactively through Zoom.
