BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Raleigh County Commission held its Regular Session meeting on Tuesday which saw approval of multiple grants, including at $15,000 grant to the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club.
A motion for consideration of the grant was presented and was ultimately approved by the commission on Tuesday, and reiterates the commitment of the Raleigh County Commission to the program itself.

“I will add that this [grant] is part of our commitment to the new Salvation Army program, the new building, and it just continues our commitment to that program,” said Raleigh County Commission President Dave Tolliver during the session.
Also approved during the meeting was the State of West Virginia Natural Resources Appraisal Continuation for the 2024 tax year, along with an award in the amount of $16,896 which will go toward West Virginia courthouse facility improvements.
