RALEIGH COUNTY, W.V. (LOOTPRESS) – In compliance with state law, Raleigh County has been holding anti-rabies clinics for the vaccination of all dogs and cats in various locations since June 5. The county will continue to host these clinics nearly every day until Monday, June 14.
The schedule and locations are as follows:
Thursday, June 10
10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Ghent Area Volunteer Fire Department Station 2 in Shady Spring
2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Ghent Elementary School
Friday, June 11
9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Grandview Shell Station
10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Beaver Volunteer Fire Department
2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Mabscott Fire Department
Saturday, June 12
8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Raleigh County Animal Shelter
Monday, June 14
9 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Memorial Baptist Church in Beckley
10:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Park Middle School
2:00 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Bradley Freewill Baptist Church in Bradley
Prices for vaccination and other services differ depending on the animal.
The prices for dogs are $3 for county dog tags, $9 for rabies shots, $20 for the distemper parvo vaccine and $15 for the bordetella vaccine. State law also requires a tax to be paid on all dogs six months of age or older.
The prices for cats are $9 for rabies shots, $15 for the distemper vaccine, $30 for the leukemia vaccine and $35 for the distemper-leukemia vaccine.
The clinics are only accepting cash or checks as payment methods.
