UPDATE: FAYETTEVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – It has additionally been announced that Fayette County Schools will operate on a delayed schedule Tuesday.
A Monday night announcement from Fayette County Sheriff Mike Fridley indicates that Fayette County Schools will join Raleigh County Schools in a adopting a 2-Hour Delay schedule of operations for Tuesday in anticipation of disagreeable weather conditions.
”Due to the predicted weather in the morning Fayette County WV Schools, will be operating on a 2 hour delay tomorrow, Tuesday, January 31, 2023,” said Sheriff Fridley.

BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Schools throughout the Raleigh County will operate on a delayed schedule Tuesday.
Superintendent of Raleigh County Schools David Price announced Monday evening that schools throughout the county will function on a 2-Hour Delay schedule for the school day Tuesday, January 31st, 2023.
The announcement comes ahead of predictions for temperature drops and incoming snow throughout Southern West Virginia, which could potential lead to freezing over of county roadways.
